Richard Mosonyi graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest in 1987. He earned a diploma in Securities Trading at the Budapest Stock Exchange and Supervisory Board of Securities in 1990. In 1995, he received a certificate in Banking Law in the Postgraduate Course at Eötvös Loránd University.
He started his career at the Financial Business Law Association. In 1992 he was one of the founding partners of Gárdos, Füredi, Mosonyi, Tomori Law Office.
His practice areas are banking law, securities law, corporate law, acquisitions. His professional experience includes, among others, participation in the establishment and licensing of several financial institutions, representation of Hungarian companies involved in issuance of securities in Hungary and legal services in relation to acquisitions of majority stakes in Hungarian companies.
Arbitrator at the Money and Capital Market Section of the Court of Arbitration attached to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He is member of the Budapest Bar Association and the Bank and Securities Law Section of the Association of Hungarian Lawyers.
He speaks English.
